A story that started in a recipe box

My grandmother’s recipe box came into my possession when I was sixteen. Tucked between the fudge and the maple butterscotch was a handwritten recipe for lye soap. I found it fascinating, and for years I wanted to try my hand at making it. What I did not want was all the harshness that came with old fashioned lye soap.

Some twenty years later, in January of 2002, I finally sat down to do something about it. After a full year of research, I altered her recipe into something gentler, kinder, and more skin loving. That is where this passion to create and formulate all natural skin care came to be.

Today, I still use only the finest ingredients I can find. Everything is made in small batches, and every single product is made by me. I test run each formula personally, then share it with friends, family, and repeat customers long before it ever reaches the shelf. That is how I know what I send out into the world is something I would put on my own skin, and on the people I love.
